FAQ’s : HOLIDAY WITH BCI MEMBERSHIP

 

When can I take my first BCI Holiday?

Your holiday entitlements commence as per the payment plan selected by you.

Members opting for full payment 2 months from the end of the month after admission as a member
Members opting for 12 months installment plan 6 months from the end of the month after admission as a member
Members opting for 24 months installment plan 9 months from the end of the month after admission as a member
Members opting for 36 months installment plan 12 months from the end of the month after admission as a member
Members opting for 48 months installment plan 15 months from the end of the month after admission as a member

I plan to have longer vacations. Is there any procedure for the same?

You can simply advance a week from your next one year's entitlement according to requirements and go for a longer vacation.

I could not use my last year's holiday entitlements. Do they stand void?

If you have a busy schedule and are unable to take vacations, you can accumulate your weeks for a maximum of three consecutive years. Your entitlement for the first year stands void if it is not used within three years of the starting date of the membership.

What information should I keep handy while making my holiday booking?

You need to have following details when you are making your bookings:

  • Membership number
  • Number of adults and children going on a holiday
  • of resort or destination
  • Check in / Check out dates

How early should I make my holiday booking?

You can make your reservations from as early as 6 months to as late as 1 day before your holiday, but it is advised to make your booking at its earliest to enjoy your holidays without any hindrance.

What documents should I carry when checking-in?

After the confirmation of your reservation, you will get a confirmation voucher and a 'Fact Finder' for the resort/hotel, you'll be holidaying at. Furnishing the confirmation voucher, your Membership Card and Photo Identity Proof are must at the time of check-in.

If I need to change my plans after confirmation of my reservation, what do I need to do?

You can always change or cancel your reservation. For Week Exchange, following rules will be applicable:

  • If you cancel your holidays 15 days before the day of check in, you get a full re-credit.
  • If you cancel your holiday between 14 and 7 days before check in, you get 50% re-credit.
  • If you cancel 7 days or less than 7 days prior to check in, all days shall be lapsed.
    For any further query you may contact our customer care department. For RCI
    exchange, the cancellation policy of RCI will apply.

If I move abroad, how do I continue to avail of the services?

Even if you move abroad we will continue to service your membership. In this case, an Annual International Service fee is applicable.

How does my Membership address my changing holiday needs?

Your holiday needs might change from time to time. While you might need a larger apartment on the holiday, you may be looking for a smaller one in the next. You may also want your holiday in a different season altogether. Keeping this in mind, we have a Flexible Holiday feature that gives you access to seasons and apartments other than your own. However, when you travel in a higher season (marked with an*), booking can only be done 15 days prior to your holiday and will be subject to availability. If you own a

Red Season : You can holiday at any time of the year.
White Season : You can also holiday in Red and Blue.
Blue Season : You can also holiday in Red* and White

Each resort has a unique week classification and we have provided the same for your convenience. This classification however, is not absolute and the seasons may shift from time to time.

As you are aware, you can choose between 3 types of apartments.

2 Bedroom Apartment (2 BR) 2 separate bedrooms with a living and dining area. Occupancy - 6 adults.
1 Bedroom Apartment (1 BR) A single bedroom with a living and dining area. Occupancy - 4 adults.
Studio Apartment (Stu) A bedroom/living room and dining area. Occupancy - 3 adults or 2 adults + 2 children under 12 years.

Some of our resorts are equipped with full kitchenettes & some have partial kitchenettes.

Note: Every 2 children below 12 years are considered as 1 adult. When shifting between seasons and/or apartments, there is a corresponding change in the number of days you can holiday in. This can be calculated using your Holiday Calculator. For the purpose of occupancy, BCI considers any individual above the age of 12 as an adult.

What are the different ratings of selected hotels/resorts?

BCI has given ratings to its own and other selected hotels and resorts depending on a number of parameters including quality, recreational facilities, location, environment, customer feedback, etc.

What are the different categories of seasons?

BCI has divided its Membership Plans into Peak Season (Equivalent to RCI Red), Average Season (Equivalent to RCI White) and Low Season (Equivalent to RCI Blue). The peak season is considered as the most popular, and is naturally exclusive and the most advantageous. "Average" season band belongs to the mid-season.

What are the different types of accommodation available?

BCI has three accommodation types in its fold, including 1 Bed Room Apartment, 2 Bed Room Apartment and Studio Apartment. Apart from this the club also offers option of standard room in selected hotels & resorts.

What if I wish to upgrade my BCI Membership plan?

You may upgrade your BCI Membership Plan from Silver to Gold or from Gold to Platinum by paying the difference amount of your existing membership plan and applicable charges existing at the point of time of the membership plan you want to upgrade in. For example, if you have purchased Gold BCI Plan white season and want to upgrade to Platinum BCI Plan white season you will have to pay difference amount between the two plans along with applicable plan-upgrade charges.

Q5. Is there any upper and lower age limit to become a BCI member?

The lower age limit to become a BCI member is 18 years. However, there is no upper age limit for the same.

What is BCI Corporate Membership?

Company/trust/partnership firm/NGOs can purchase BCI Corporate Membership. In this case, they will have to purchase a minimum of 5 BCI memberships at a time. Any director / partner/ employee with family can avail the benefits of BCI membership without paying Guest Certificate Charges at over hundreds of selected hotels and resorts. RCI rules will be applicable in case of RCI-affiliated resorts.

What is cancellation policy for RCI affiliated resorts & hotels and selected hotels & resorts?

In case of selected hotels & resorts, cancellation policy differs from one hotel to another. RCI rules are applicable in case of RCI-affiliated resorts.

BCI : BENEFITS

 

Can I enjoy the benefits of both BCI exchange and RCI exchange together for a single transaction?

A member has to choose each time whether he/she wants to avail BCI exchange or RCI exchange. Both exchange systems have their unique and distinct features, and it's not possible to use them together.

As a BCI member, do I enjoy any other benefit at hotels if I am not staying for the night?

Members can always enjoy special benefits like 30% discounts on food and on other facilities at Country Inn Resorts and special offers at other selected hotels and resorts.

TRANSFERRING & GIFTING : MEMBERSHIP

 

Can I gift or sell my membership?

BCI also gives you the option of selling/ transferring your membership to anyone during the entire period of your 'Membership Plan'. No charges will be levied by BCI if you transfer your membership to your spouse or children or parents. However, you will have to pay applicable 'Membership Transfer Fee' if you transfer your membership to others.

How much is the membership transfer fee?

Membership Transfer Fee (MTC) is Rs. 10,000 plus applicable taxes for BCI membership with a price band above Rs 2 Lac. MTC is only Rs. 5,000 in case of BCI membership costs less than Rs. 2 Lac. No Membership Transfer Fee is applicable in case of transfer of membership between blood relations.

How do I gift my BCI holiday to my friend?

Gifting is fun and we deeply understand its importance. So, you may send your friends and family on vacations with the help of BCI. You just have to send us a request in writing with the name of the person to whom you are gifting. This will enable us to begin the procedure and send across the Confirmation Voucher. However, you will have to pay applicable 'Guest Certificate' charges to BCI /RCI as per their applicable norms.

What are the charges for 'Guest Certificate'?

Guest Certification Charge is Rs. 1,000 plus applicable taxes.

RCI : MEMBERSHIP

 

What is RCI and when can I take my first RCI holiday?

RCI is a holiday exchange network with over 3 million members across the world. Our association with RCI also lets you access the RCI exchange network, which includes over 6,500 resorts across the world. As a privileged BCI Member you get complimentary RCI Membership for few initial years as per the membership purchased. Once your enrollment is complete, you will receive your RCI Membership Kit with a personalised number from RCI. This kit will also have all the relevant details on how to use your RCI membership. In case of RCI exchange, RCI terms & conditions will be applicable.

How do I take holidays with RCI?

There are two types of RCI Holidays:
For RCI Exchange, BCI members need to deposit their one week entitlement with RCI. BCI members need to provide the following details:

  • Standard Exchange: You need to deposit (exchange) your entitlement week from your membership.
  • Bonus Week Holidays: In this case, you simply buy the week without depositing your week.
  • of resort or destination
  • Check in / Check out dates

In case you are availing holiday with RCI, you need to provide the following details:

  • 1 RCI Membership Number
  • Multiple choices of destinations and dates wherein you would like to take a vacation.

The exchange fee needs to be paid along with your request. If you do not get your holiday immediately confirmed, it is best to place your request in Search.

Is there a minimum duration for my RCI Holiday?

As in the case of most International exchanges, your holiday has to be in multiple of one week. Though, for being our privileged member, you will always have an option to split your week entitlement into 3 Nights and 4 Nights holiday.

How do I gift my RCI Holiday to a friend?

RCI will send you a Guest Certificate for your friend. A nominal guest certification charge is applicable. Your friend must present the holiday confirmation voucher and Guest certificate when checking in.
